Lil Jon shared his thoughts on Justin Bieber’s absence from the Super Bowl 58 halftime show, suggesting that Bieber simply wasn’t primed for the moment.

Amidst the excitement surrounding Usher’s announcement as the headliner for Super Bowl 58’s halftime show, speculation arose about Justin Bieber possibly making an appearance. However, Bieber decided to soak in the game’s atmosphere from the stands at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas rather than joining his former mentor onstage.

Lil Jon, who rocked the stage alongside Usher and Ludacris during the halftime spectacle, provided insight into Bieber’s absence. Revealing that they had considered involving Bieber in the performance, Lil Jon shared that Bieber ultimately declined the opportunity.

“We had talks about bringing Justin into the mix,” Lil Jon disclosed. “But it seems Justin wasn’t fully ready for the scale of the event.”

In an interview with TMZ Live, Lil Jon delved deeper into their halftime preparations, noting that Bieber had turned down the offer even before rehearsals began.

“He was mulling it over, but I think he realized the immense dedication and attention required for such a grand performance,” the “Get Low” rapper elaborated. “It’s not just a matter of showing up for one rehearsal and then taking the stage. It demands a significant investment of time, so I don’t think he felt prepared for that.”

Despite Bieber’s absence, Lil Jon joined an illustrious lineup featuring Usher, Ludacris, Will.i.am, H.E.R., Jermaine Dupri, and Alicia Keys for a halftime extravaganza to remember. Reports suggest it was the most-viewed TV broadcast since the 1969 moon landing, captivating an average of 123.4 million viewers.

While Bieber didn’t grace the stage, Lil Jon underscored his enduring bond with Usher. Bieber, who has been battling Ramsay Hunt Syndrome resulting in facial paralysis, attended the Super Bowl to offer support to his mentor.

Despite grappling with health challenges, Bieber made a triumphant comeback to the spotlight during the NHL All-Star Weekend, marking his first public performance in two years. Although named a celebrity captain for the event, Bieber’s involvement was limited to warm-ups.

As Bieber prioritizes his well-being, fans eagerly await his return to the stage when he feels prepared.
