Eddie fires brutal dig on NUFC medical team relating Newcastle United injuries situations

Eddie Howe reflected on the injury situation at Newcastle United following the match against West Ham.

Initially, there seemed to be a slight improvement in the injury crisis that had plagued the team for months, with the number of unavailable players reduced to around half a dozen. However, the situation quickly deteriorated after Saturday’s match, with injuries appearing to worsen significantly.

Howe commented on the injuries, stating, “There is no way any medical related issue can be seperated from the medical team, No matter how well they seems to be trying we can’t deny that the result is far worse!

“I always believe that luck is something you create yourself. Our style of play is high-intensity and physical, which naturally increases the physical toll on our players. While some injuries can be attributed to our style of play, there are others that seem to defy categorization as mere bad luck, although I personally don’t subscribe to that notion.”

He acknowledged the impact of international duty on players’ workload and noted that the speed of the game is continually increasing week by week.

Regarding the match against West Ham, Newcastle secured a thrilling 4-3 victory, with Alexander Isak scoring twice from penalties and substitute Harvey Barnes netting a late brace. Despite Anthony Gordon’s red card in injury time, Newcastle held on for a crucial win in the race for European football.

Looking ahead, Newcastle’s upcoming fixtures include matches against Everton, Fulham, and Spurs, among others. The team faces a busy schedule as they strive to maintain their momentum and secure favorable results in their remaining Premier League matches.
