Yuri Alberto on Everton radar as brand new striker transfer now on cards

The Brazilian outlet reported on 28 July that the Toffees have reignited their interest in the striker but have not yet made an official bid to Corinthians.

It is shared that Sean Dyche is also looking at other names in the final third, with a move unlikely to happen for the Brazilian international, at this stage.

Everton signing Yuri Alberto would make sense

The last time the Toffees were reported to have an interest in Alberto was back in the summer of 2023 [Dominik Schneider, 28 July 2023].

The striker has since been linked with other Premier League teams such as West Ham United and Wolves with neither move coming to fruition.

The striker has had a stellar season in Brazil and managed to contribute to a total of 20 goals across all competitions.

Another thing that makes a deal a strong idea for Everton is the fact that Alberto is still just 23 years old and could be crafted into a world-class player.

Everton are in dire need of attacking reinforcement this summer after the below-par performances from both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto made gaining points difficult for the club.

lthough the club’s current need for a striker is high, should Calvert-Lewin depart this summer [Ian Croll, 26 July], that need will increase drastically.
