Everton fans have labelled James Tarkowski “brainless” after he gave away a penalty against Newcastle on Saturday (5 October).
The Merseyside giants shared the spoils with their opponents after the two teams battled out a goalless draw at Goodison Park.

However, Tarkowski had handed Newcastle a golden opportunity to take the lead in the first half after he fouled Sandro Tonali which led to the Magpies getting a penalty.
The 31-year-old centre-back appeared to drag Tonali down to the ground while he marked the Magpies midfielder.
Tarkowski was ultimately saved any further embarrassment by his teammate Jordan Pickford, as he saved Anthony Gordon’s penalty attempt.
Despite that, many Everton fans were left frustrated by Tarkowski’s decision-making at the moment.
