Everton are predicted to finish in 16th place and avoid relegation once again after their 0-0 draw v Newcastle on 5 October.

The Toffees have been given just a 21 per cent chance of getting relegated after they kept their first league clean sheet of the season.

They’re expected to finish with a 39-point tally and that is understood to be enough to keep them above ground, as per Opta’s Super Computer.

Everton need to build on the recent momentum created

The clean sheet marked a pivotal moment in their campaign, highlighting improvements under Sean despite a slow start.

This result, coupled with a predicted 16th-place finish, suggests a stabilisation in performance and understanding of Dyche’s tactical setup, focusing on defensive solidity.

The slow start, characterised by defensive frailties, has gradually seen shifts as the new signings are adapting to the manager’s demands for resilience and organisation.

Jarrad Branthwaite and Vitalii Mykolenko’s post-international break return could further solidify their backline, enhancing their chances of consecutive wins.

This tactical cohesion, combined with an uptick in morale from avoiding defeat, positions Everton for a mid-table finish, reflecting a recovery from early season struggles towards a more competitive stance in the Premier League.

It’s important that they look to build on this recent momentum generated as it can be vital in the latter stages of the campaign.
