Everton are in Premier League action on Saturday and the mood around Goodison Park has picked up in wake of an upturn in form.
The Toffees are unbeaten in four Premier League games, picking up eight points from those matches including three against Ipswich last time out.
In addition, Everton have also kept two consecutive clean sheets and have only shipped two goals in the last four appearances.
Sean Dyche’s charges host Fulham at Goodison Park in Saturday’s early evening kick-off, and they will fancy their chances against a mid-table opponent.
TalkSPORT pundit Darren Bent has now made a prediction regarding Everton’s Premier League status come the end of the season.
He did so based on a conversation he had with Toffees star Ashley Young several weeks ago.
Darren Bent backs Everton to stay up
Bent, speaking on talkSPORT, said “there is no way that Everton are going down”, because of how well Dyche is coaching and training his charges.
“There is no way that Everton are doing down,” he said (25/10/2024, 5:44pm).
“I thought at the start of the season that they might wobble a little bit because they got off to a tricky start.
“But with Sean Dyche… I think every single one of his players knows exactly what they have to do.
“I was with Youngy a couple of weeks ago, Ashley Young, and he was saying about his attention to detail is just…
“He knows from the start to the week to the end of the week, you know exactly what is happening and you know exactly how he wants you to play.
“They are not going down. There is no way they are going down.”

Everton looking up
Everton will no doubt be pleased about Bent’s prediction, and Toffees supporters will be hopeful that it proves the case.
Dyche has worked wonders at Goodison Park and, considering how tight mid-table is, Everton could well move into the top half of the table over the coming weeks if all goes well.
