Curtis Jones recently came out and gave his verdict on the Liverpool vs Everton in the Merseyside derby which happened to differ to the fans.
Everton are set to welcome Liverpool to Goodison Park in the first Merseyside derby of the season on December 7th in what has the makings of another classic.
Sean Dyche managed to get the better of the Reds in April of last year, which was the first win for Everton in the Merseyside derby since 2021.
The Everton boss looks set to still be in charge for December unless something drastic happens, as things have taken a turn for the better on Merseyside.
However, with the Everton takeover ticking along and the Friedkin Group receiving criticism for rash managerial decisions, you can never rule anything out.
Interestingly, Liverpool star Curtis Jones already has one eye on the Merseyside derby after talking about where it ranks for him recently.
Interestingly, Curtis Jones has only played against Everton twice in the Premier League, and he lost 2-0 on both occasions.
Despite the Merseyside derby being over a month away, the topic was brought up in a video about Curtis Jones, who was asked about the best atmosphere he has played in.
On the Sky Sports Premier League channel, in the video 100 Fans vs Curtis Jones, the 100 fans said Manchester United vs Liverpool would be the best rivalry the midfielder has played in, but he disagreed.
He was asked, would the Merseyside derby be the biggest derby for you as a Liverpool player.
“Yeah. And that just comes down again to being a scouser, and I’m a Liverpool fan from a kid and my family are as well. I’ve got friends who are Everton fans and that back and forth with them.
“Obviously if you win the game it’s nice to say our city until the next time, little things like that.”
Everton’s new weapon ready for the Merseyside derby
Iliman Ndiaye has only been at Everton since the summer, but he is already looking into some pretty big achievements at Everton.
Interestingly, Ndiaye has already stated that he wants to become the best player in the world, which is a long stretch, but he certainly has the ability to cause anyone problems.
He also has another target suited to the Merseyside derby, which involves scoring the winner.
You can already see that the summer signing really feels at home and fully understand what it means to play for Everton, as there aren’t many things more valued than scoring the winner against the Reds.
