Everton dropped two points against Brentford as they just couldn’t capitalise on a red card in the first half against Christian Norgaard.

It was a game where Everton had 60% possession and 27 shots, but just five of those were on target.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin squandered a number of chances, but Sean Dyche, as is often the case, left it too late before he started to change things.

Armando Broja’s return can’t come soon enough after a large period out through injury, though he still appears to be a week or so away.

This wasn’t a performance that will please the Everton fans, more frustrate them, as it so easily could have been three points.

Sean Dyche still isn’t in the good books of Everton supporters, as they could be heard shouting one particular thing at him during the game.

Everton fans weren’t too happy with Dyche after the West Ham game, as they called for him to be sacked despite securing a point.

And things clearly haven’t improved at Goodison Park, but he’s clearly not helping himself, as his decision not to change things until later on in the second half drove fans crazy.

The Toffees were at an advantage, and things just weren’t working with Brentford sitting back, yet there was no urgency to secure three points.

Could a change be in the offing at Everton?

Although it wasn’t the worst of results, the lack of urgency and stale, one-dimensional performances just aren’t cutting it for the Everton fans.

A more ruthless side would have put four or five past Brentford earlier on today, but Everton were almost happy for a point at the end as they showed no desire to get the ball forward quickly.

With Wolves and Crystal Palace picking up points, Everton are now closer towards the bottom and risk being dragged in even closer in the near future.

Sean Dyche simply has to change his ways or he’s heading for the sacking, as against better teams, these performances will get punished.
