When every Aston Villa player’s contract is due to expire as big summer transfer calls loom

Aston Villa’s

president of football operations Monchi has worked diligently in the last 18 months to secure the futures of the club’s prized assets. Leon Bailey penned a new contract last February, before Villa moved to secure Emi Martinez until 2029 at the end of August.

Morgan Rogers is the latest star in Emery’s first-team to commit his long-term future to the club by penning a deal until 2030 in November.

Jhon Duran had signed fresh terms himself in the previous month, but opted to leave the club in January after Villa received a £65m bid from Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.

Villa are now determined to pin key midfielder Boubacar Kamara down to a new contract after he has proven his worth to Emery’s side since returning from a knee injury earlier this campaign.

Robin Olsen and Kortney Hause are expected to leave the club at the end of the season, while Lucas Digne, Tyrone Mings and Lamare Bogarde will enter the final 12 months of their deals.

To end speculation surrounding about their respective futures at Villa, the club will be deciding whether to offer fresh terms from now and entering into the summer.
