Everton new stadium: Alan Myers reveals major change for 2025/26 season

Alan Myers has shared an update on the camera system at Bramley-Moore Dock with Everton having a test event on Monday evening.

The Toffees played host to Wigan for an Under-18s game in what was the first-ever game to be played at the new stadium. It is set to become the home of the Merseyside outfit from next season, with this campaign being the last one to be played at Goodison Park.

The Wigan game on 17 February was streamed on YouTube and fans were not overly pleased with the cameras and overall viewing experience.

The Sky Sports news editor was asked by a number of fans if this is going to be the case next season as well.

The Toffees fanbase is buzzing with excitement about the new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium, as evidenced by their awe at stunning drone footage and the anticipation surrounding the pilot event against Wigan Athletic’s Under-18s, which drew 10,000 fans.

This first test event marked a historic moment, showcasing the state-of-the-art 52,888-capacity venue that promises to elevate the club’s future.

Fans, initially torn about leaving Goodison Park after 133 years, are now embracing the move, captivated by the modern design, blue-lit stands and the waterfront location.

The new stadium offers compelling reasons for optimism as it will generate unprecedented matchday revenue, host Euro 2028 matches and integrate community features like shops and housing.

Despite concerns about travel links, the return of David Moyes, the Friedkin Group’stakeover and recent improved results under his leadership fuel hope.

This new era, blending nostalgia with ambition, positions Everton to reclaim their historic stature, giving fans every reason to be excited about the journey ahead.
