David Moyes shares claim from Abu Dhabi training camp that ‘doesn’t sound good’, and it may shock Everton fans

Everton look like a team reborn since the changing of managers on Merseyside back in January.

It has been a massive improvement under David Moyes with the Toffees pulling 15 points clear of the relegation zone. Premier League football now feels all but confirmed for the move to Everton’s new stadium over the summer.
Everton are currently away in the Middle East on a training camp as they enjoy a weekend without a game.
A win for Everton next time out could take them up to 13th in the Premier League table and another win could even take them on the cusp of the top half – it is that tight.

Although the Toffees may feel they have dropped points over the last two games against Manchester United and Brentford, Moyes remains positive about what he has seen.

David Moyes encouraged by Everton creating chances

The game against Brentford saw Beto miss a number of chances to secure all three points for the Toffees.
It was an uncharacteristic performance from the in-form striker, who has had no issues with finding the back of the net recently.

Speaking from their training camp in Abu Dhabi, Moyes has assessed his start to life back on Merseyside with the recent missed opportunities actually encouraging the 61-year-old.

“I think there’s a lot of things we’re doing well. I think that the big thing for me. which it doesn’t sound good what I’m going to say, we’re missing a lot of chances, as well,” said Moyes.
“Which is giving me the feeling we’re actually getting the chance to score. Can we take them? That’s the last bit to it, but I have to say I’m really pleased with how they’ve gone about it.”

Significant improvements have been made under the Scotsman, with Jack Harrison even impressing Moyes in training of late.

It has been fine margins which has stopped Everton from adding another two wins to their tally over the last two games, but Moyes is taking the positives from them.
