A roundup of some of the latest Premier League transfer rumours for the Merseyside rivals.

The end of the Premier League season is starting to come into view and soon, clubs will be able to go about their business on the transfer market.

There’s been plenty to unpick so far and we can only expect more exciting rumours to unfold between now and the next Deadline Day. This means there will be plenty of twists and turns to come along before each club finalises any incoming and outgoing deals ready for the new season.

Let’s unpack some of the latest transfer rumours and what we make of them.

Everton to ‘pull the plug’ on permanent Jack Harrison deal

Everton are headed for an exciting new chapter and thanks to their recent run of impressive form, they’ve shoehorned a solid 15 points between them and the relegation zone.

The Toffees are planning for an interesting transfer window and have been linked with a number of intriguing targets. While some key players, including Idrissa Gana Gueye, have been backed to sign new deals, others aren’t as likely to remain at Everton for this new era.

According to Football Insider, the Blues are expected to ‘pull the plug’ on signing Jack Harrison on a permanent deal. The club are looking to bolster their options out wide and despite the Leeds United spending back-to-back loan spells with Everton, he is not involved in their future plans.

The 3AM Verdict: Everton are entering an important new era and need to use this time to really think about the future of the team. Far too many times, the Toffees have spent money and wages on players who have provided very little to the squad. Opting not to sign Harrison permanently will work best for everyone involved. The 28-year-old has not had single goal involvement so far this season and Everton need reliable attackers to rely on. With their interest in the likes of West Brom’s Tom Fellows, keeping Harrison will likely only limit his chances to start, which have been sporadic this season as it is.

Liverpool eye hot target midfielder

Despite signing multiple midfielders in 2023, Liverpool still have their eye on the market for a new holding superstar. Ryan Gravenberch has been doing a solid job this season under Arne Slot but the club remain keen on a new recruit.

Scouts have confirmed Camara is ‘one of the best African prospects they have seen in a long time’, according to the report. Despite the intense interest, Monaco ‘have little desire’ to lose the 21-year-old this summer, but they could consider an offer if the price is right.

The 3AM Verdict: A transfer fee hasn’t been mentioned but Camara signed for Monaco just last year for £12.5 million. As he is a key part of the team and has contributed two goals and six assists so far this season, that price can be expected to shoot up. Many feel as though Liverpool did not adequately replace Fabinho, hence why they continue to scour the market. Being able to score and assist as a defensive midfielder is a very attractive skill and if Liverpool opt to move Wataru Endo on this summer, it will open up a spot for an exciting new signing.
