Everton attacker Iliman Ndiaye does face the risk of long-term consequences amid his recent injury situation, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that his recovery process, which involves taking injections, may come with certain risks.
The 24-year-old picked up an injury in the 2-2 draw against Liverpool on 12 February and hasn’t played for the Toffees since then.
David Moyes unlikely to call upon Iliman Ndiaye for the next few games
David Moyes would love to play Ndiaye week in and week out, but he may have to wait for a few more games.
The Senegal international, despite being out for nearly a month, is not expected back imminently.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Ndiaye: “Moyes says he’s been taking injections but it really depends on what he means by injections.
Wolves and West Ham are the Everton games Iliman Ndiaye may miss
The Toffees take on Wolves next in the Premier League on 8 March and seven days later, they host West Ham at Goodison Park.
After that, they don’t play until April when they face rivals Liverpool and Ndiaye should be back for that one.
Moyes will have to turn to the likes of Jesper Lindstrom and Jack Harrison and expect them to deliver what Ndiaye did.
Alternatively, he might even use James Garner or Ashley Young on the wing as they’ve proven to be more than capable in that role.
