Everton manager David Moyes is optimistic that the club’s new owners are willing to invest heavily in the team’s rebuild, with a major transfer coup on the horizon.

According to sources close to the club, the Toffees are on the verge of completing a stunning move for Roma striker Tammy Abraham.

Moyes, who has been impressed by Abraham’s performances in Serie A, believes the 25-year-old Englishman would be a fantastic addition to his squad.

“I think the new owners are keen to make a statement and show their commitment to the club,” Moyes said in a recent interview. “They want to spend money to bring in top talent, and I think Tammy Abraham would be an excellent signing.”

Abraham, who has scored 17 goals in 40 appearances for Roma this season, is reportedly eager to return to the Premier League and link up with Moyes at Goodison Park.

The transfer fee is believed to be in the region of £40m, with Everton’s new owners willing to splash the cash to secure Abraham’s signature.

Moyes is confident that Abraham’s arrival would be a major boost to the team’s attacking options and help propel the Toffees up the Premier League table.

“Tammy is a top-class striker with a proven track record in the Premier League,” Moyes added. “I think he would be a fantastic addition to our squad, and I’m excited at the prospect of working with him.”

With the transfer window set to slam shut soon, Everton fans are eagerly awaiting confirmation of Abraham’s signing. If the deal goes through, it would be a major coup for the Toffees and a statement of intent from the club’s new owners.
