Jack Harrison’s Everton fate revealed in Leeds transfer update

Jack Harrison’s future at Everton may have already been decided as his loan from Leeds United is reaching its end.

The former Manchester City man has plied his trade in Merseyside over the past two seasons after he immediately jumped ship when the West Yorkshire outfit were relegated from the Premier League.
However, now that we’re edging closer to the expiry of his deal, questions are starting to get asked about where his future could potentially lie.

And, even though David Moyes’ return has reinvigorated an Everton squad that seemed destined for the drop, Harrison’s form hasn’t picked up with this likely playing a part in the choice that’s been made.

Harrison could play for Leeds in the Premier League next season

Even though Leeds’ promotion to the top flight isn’t yet guaranteed, with the performances they’ve put in this term, it would be a massive shock to see them playing Championship football in the 2025/26 campaign.
At the moment, the Whites are on 76 points with second-placed Sheffield United on 73 and, if a new report from LeedsUnited.news (4 March) is to be believed, Harrison could be set for an Elland Road return, rather than staying with Everton.

Graeme Bailey shared an update on the attacker’s future and claimed that he could become an “invaluable” member of Leeds’ squad due to his experience in the top flight.
“Leeds at this moment believe he is more likely to return than not, he has not done badly but with the change of manager and hierarchy, it seems they will go in another direction,” he said.

“Leeds are prepared for this and there will be no issues with seeing Harrison return in the Premier League, he is a Premier League player and his experience could be invaluable to Leeds next season.”

While the Englishman was a first-team regular under Sean Dyche, since Moyes’ return, Jesper Lindstrom has been the man called upon.

The Dane has really come into his own over the last couple of weeks and to be quite frank, has offered an awful lot more than what Harrison has done all season.

At the moment, the Merseyside outfit seem to have got the better end of the stick regarding the transfer of the attacker but only time will tell whether that’s actually the case.

The fact that Harrison now looks more likely to return to Leeds means that the funding that may have been used on the loanee can now but put elsewhere within the Toffees’ squad.

Which, at the end of the day, is likely the best thing for both parties, especially if Everton are wanting to revamp their team in the summer.
