Everton midfielder Alcaraz, has showered praise on one of his colleagues, naming Idrissa Gueye as the most talented player in the Toffees’ squad.
Gueye, who rejoined Everton from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, has been impressive in his second stint at Goodison Park, and Alcaraz believes the Senegalese midfielder is the standout player in the team.
“For me, Idrissa Gueye is the most talented player in our squad,” Alcaraz said in a recent interview. “He’s an incredible player with so much quality. The way he controls the game, his vision, his passing range… he’s a top-class midfielder.”
Alcaraz, who has been settling in well at Everton since his arrival from Racing Club, has been impressed by Gueye’s leadership and experience on the pitch.
“Gueye is a leader on the pitch, and his experience is invaluable to us,” Alcaraz added. “He’s always talking, always guiding us, and his presence on the pitch gives us a lot of confidence.”
Gueye’s impressive form has been a key factor in Everton’s recent upturn in fortunes, and Alcaraz believes the 33-year-old midfielder is a major reason why the Toffees are starting to look like a formidable team.
“We’re lucky to have Gueye in our team,” Alcaraz said. “He’s a top player, and I’m learning a lot from him every day.”
