Marco Asensio is ready to make a permanent sway from PSG amid £50m Aston Villa

Marco Asensio has had a superb impact at Aston Villa since signing on loan from PSG during the winter transfer window.

The Spaniard joined the Villans on a temporary deal until the end of the season and has already proved to be worth his weight in gold under Unai Emery.
The 29-year-old has already netted five goals in claret and blue despite making just three starts since making a switch to B6.

This has already sparked conversation over a potential permanent deal in the summer, which may be scuppered by his current deal in Paris.
PSG could demand £50m for Asensio at Aston Villa

The second half of the campaign in B6 has been proof of what sort of impact the winter transfer window can have on a side.

The introduction of Marcus Rashford from Manchester United and Asensio from the French giants have had an immediate positive effect in the West Midlands.

With that being said, the latter could be in line to make his move to the Premier League permanent in the summer after his strikes against Club Brugge, Cardiff City and Chelsea.

Former Brentford and Leicester City manager Martin Allen believes the potential fee and wages could cause an issue for Emery’s side.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, the former West Ham midfielder said: “Playing for PSG, he’s on mega money. If Villa want to sign him they’ll really have to stump up the cash.

“He has really improved Villa, his goals to game ratio is outstanding. He will win Aston Villa games for the rest of the season.

“He’s come in and really looks the part, he’s hungry and doing well. How much would he be worth?

“He’s still got a few years left in him, they’ll be looking at £45m or £50m just because of his goal ratio. You get these sorts of players in your starting 11 and you’ve got a good chance of winning.“
