Everton Release a statement confirming devastating Jarrad Branthwaite decision

Jarrad Branthwaite could receive a lucrative new contract offer as The Friedkin Group (TFG) have made their decision at Everton.

The centre-back has been one of the best players at the Toffees in recent seasons, with his current contract expiring in 2027.

Real Madrid are one of the teams interested in Branthwaite, and it isn’t surprising to see the Blues keen to tie him down to fresh terms.

David Moyes will seemingly be hoping TFG keep hold of the Merseyside outfit’s best players, with several stars out of contract at the end of the season.

TFG to offer Branthwaite over £100,000 at Everton

TFG are willing to offer Branthwaite over £100,000 per week to extend his contract at the Toffees, according to TEAMtalk.

The news outlet reports (12 March) that the Blues are keen to reward the 22-year-old with a lucrative new deal to stave off interest from the likes of Real Madrid.

It has been claimed that while the Friedkins are prepared to offer the centre-back fresh terms, they have no intention of breaking their wage structure.

The England international earns around £35,000 per week at the moment, and suggestions that £150,000 per week will be required to convince the defender to sign a new contract at Everton are premature, as specific numbers haven’t been discussed yet.

Moyes to build around Branthwaite at Bramley Moore Dock

David Moyes has had a fairytale return to Goodison Park, leading the team 16 points above the relegation zone after an impressive run of results.

The new American owners brought in the Scottish manager after Sean Dyche had a tumultuous time at the Toffees.

Relegation to the Championship looked realistic under the former Burnley manager, but safety is now all but guaranteed.

Moyes has the Blues flying in the Premier League, and it would take a massive collapse from here on out to see them lose their top-flight status.

Branthwaite has been influential to the Merseyside outfit’s success in recent matches, and his partnership with James Tarkowski has flourished.

The two English centre-backs have kept Michael Keane out of the starting lineup, who looks to be on his way out at the end of the season, owing to his expiring contract.

It feels imperative for the Toffees to keep the 22-year-old centre-back and build a solid foundation around him once they move to Bramley Moore Dock.

Branthwaite deserves to be one of the highest-paid players in the squad.
