_PAUL MERSON URGES DAVID MOYES TO BRING RICHARLISON BACK TO EVERTON_
Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has called on Everton manager David Moyes to make a shock move for former Toffees winger Richarlison.
Merson, who is now a pundit for Sky Sports, believes that Richarlison’s return to Goodison Park could be the catalyst for a resurgence in form for the struggling Toffees.
“Everton need a spark, and Richarlison could be that spark,” Merson said. “He’s a top-class player who knows the club inside out, and I think he’d be a great addition to Moyes’ squad.”
Richarlison, who left Everton for Tottenham Hotspur in 2022, has struggled to replicate his form at Spurs, and Merson believes that a return to his former club could be just what he needs to reignite his career.
“Richarlison was a fan favorite at Everton, and I think he’d be welcomed back with open arms,” Merson added. “He’s got the quality and the experience to make a real difference for the Toffees, and I think Moyes should definitely consider making a move for him.”
Merson’s comments are likely to spark debate among Everton fans, who will be eager to see if Moyes will take his advice and make a move for Richarlison.
One thing is certain, however: Richarlison’s return to Everton would be a major coup for the club, and it could be just the boost they need to turn their season around.
