Aston Villa winger Marco Asensio has revealed that Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is helping him improve his game in training.
Asensio, who joined Aston Villa in the summer, has been working on his skills with Rashford, who is on international duty with England.
The Spanish winger has been impressed by Rashford’s work ethic and dedication to improving his game, and has been picking his brain for tips and advice.
“Marcus is a top player and I’ve been learning a lot from him,” Asensio said. “He’s always pushing himself to be better and that’s something that I admire.”
Asensio revealed that Rashford has been helping him work on his finishing and movement off the ball, and he’s already seen an improvement in his game.
“Marcus has been giving me tips on how to create space and find pockets of room on the pitch,” Asensio added. “He’s also been working with me on my finishing, and I feel like I’m becoming a more clinical player.”
Asensio’s revelation will come as a surprise to many, given that Rashford plays for a rival club. However, it’s clear that the two players have a strong respect for each other’s abilities and are willing to put aside club rivalries to help each other improve.
