MANCHESTER UNITED SET ASKING PRICE FOR RASMUS HOJLUND AS EVERTON COUP FOR SENSATIONAL SWAP DEAL

Rasmus Hojlund could be part of a stunning Manchester United swap deal.

Manchester United have named their asking price for Rasmus Hojlund as a stunning swap deal opportunity has opened up ahead of the transfer window reopening this summer.

Hojlund has been the subject of intense transfer speculation following his indifferent form for Man United this season.

He has only scored eight goals across all competitions, including just three goals in the Premier League.

Hojlund, who cost the Red Devils a staggering £72 million in the summer of 2023, has come under fire for his performances in front of goal, with fans and critics alike slamming the forward.

As a result, he’s been linked with a move away from Old Trafford as Ruben Amorim plans to make wholesale changes to his squad, with a whopping 10 players thought to be on the chopping block.

Hojlund is among the names believed to be on Man United’s transfer list, with Napoli expressing an interest in bringing the 22-year-old back to Italy following his spell with Atalanta.

He broke through with Atalanta before moving to Man United, scoring 10 goals in 34 games in the 2022/23 season.

Despite his current form, Napoli still believe in the player’s talent, with La Gazzetta dello Sport claiming Man United will ask for around £50 million to sanction his transfer.

The Naples-based club reckon convincing Hojlund will not be difficult as ‘initial contacts’ have been positive.

Given Napoli’s pursuit of the Dane, Victor Osimhen could potentially go the over way as part of a blockbuster swap deal.

Osimhen is on loan at Galatasaray, but his future lies away from Napoli.

The Nigerian frontman is attracting plenty of interest, with Chelsea also thought to be keen on snapping him up.

As for Hojlund, he has linked up with Denmark, where he spoke to local media about his Man United future.

“I’m still very happy to be at Man United. It’s the club I’ve always dreamed of playing for. And I’m really happy for Ruben [Amorim]. He’s a cool character and a cool person,” he told Tipsbladet.

“I’m focused on the task with Ruben [Amorim] because that project is incredibly exciting, but Erik [ten Hag] was, of course, one of the reasons why I moved to Man United.

“He was doing something good and was a talented coach, but it didn’t work out, and that’s how it is.”

Napoli are eyeing a Manchester United player ahead of the summer transfer window.

Napoli want to reunite Scott McTominay with one of his former Manchester United teammates but a ‘frightening’ request could block a transfer.

Napoli are already planning for the summer transfer window and have identified two forwards ahead of the market reopening.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Udinese forward Lorenzo Lucca is on their transfer wish-list, having scored 12 goals across all competitions this season.

Rasmus Hojlund is on Napoli’s radar, too, with the player the subject of intense transfer speculation following a tough campaign.

Hojlund, who joined Man United for £72 million, has scored just three league goals this season.

He could be on the chopping block as Rubem Amorim plans a summer overhaul ahead of recruiting new players, with fans already making their feelings clear on the Danish forward.

Per the report, Hojlund would ‘gladly’ return to Italy following his spell at Atalanta.

But the Red Devils are holding for around £50 million so they don’t make a huge loss on the transfer.

And Man United’s price tag has been described as ‘frightening’ and is outside of the Serie A club’s budget.

However, the report claims there is still time until the summer and if there are openings, Napoli will try and negotiate a deal.

Hojlund bagged 16 goals last season and showed signs of promise.

But the 22-year-old has struggled in front of goal this term, scoring a measly eight goals in 39 games in all competitions.

He ended his goal draught with a strike in his side’s 3-0 win at Leicester City last Sunday.

Hojlund has since linked up with Denmark, where he spoke to local media about his future.

“I’m still very happy to be at Man United. It’s the club I’ve always dreamed of playing for. And I’m really happy for Ruben [Amorim]. He’s a cool character and a cool person,” he told Tipsbladet.

Surprise Premier League club ‘considering’ move to sign Rasmus Hojlund as Man Utd asking price emerges

Hojlund has scored seven goals in all competitions for United this season.

Manchester United are considering parting ways with Rasmus Hojlund, according to a new report – and a Premier League club have ‘identified’ the striker as a potential summer target.

Hojlund, who joined United from Serie A side Atalanta in 2023 for a reported £72 million, ended his debut campaign at Old Trafford with 16 goals in all competitions.

Erik ten Hag often reiterated his belief in Hojlund‘s ability to lead the line, and after ending last season as their top scorer, many assumed he would continue that form into the Ruben Amorim era.

But the Danish forward has struggled to pin down regular minutes under Amorim, with last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace being a telling moment in his season so far.

Instead of selecting any of his forward players, the Portuguese coach deployed Kobbie Mainoo as a false nine while Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee were left to ponder matters on the substitutes bench.

Now, a report from TeamTalk has emerged that suggests Amorim is ‘not convinced’ by Hojlund and as a result, the club are considering parting ways with the player this summer.

The publication suggests United have already accepted they won’t be able to recoup the £72 million paid in 2023, with sources stating that an offer of just £40 million could be enough to sign him.

In addition to the above, it is said West Ham are interested in Hojlund and have identified the 22-year-old as a potential target for the summer window should they decide against making Evan Ferguson’s loan from Brighton permanent.

The Hammers want to reduce the average age of their squad and see the Denmark international as someone who could fit into Graham Potter’s plans.

After their 1-0 win over Fulham on January 26, Ruben Amorim gave a fascinating insight into Hojlund’s form of late.

“He wants it really hard and you can see it sometimes that without training, there is a disconnection,” Amorim said.

“We can explain, but without training sometimes it goes away, when he should be near, sometimes he’s near when he should make a run.

“We don’t have time to make this connection, we don’t train these kinds of things, we just talk about these things. He has a lot to improve, like his team-mates.

“Sometimes you have a good game, other days you cannot have a good performance. The important thing is that I see every day that he wants it really bad.”

Amorim added: “He talks about that [he] wants to train a little bit more in the end of trainings and that is the best thing to improve. But as a footballer, and he’s a young guy, he has to understand that sometimes you have a bad game, but you have to continue to go to the next.”

Rasmus Hojlund sends Everton player ‘warning’ ahead of Man Utd clash as text message revealed

Manchester United will take on Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

Rasmus Hojlund has sent a warning to an Everton star ahead of the Toffees’ clash against Manchester United.

On Thursday, Ruben Amorim secured his first win as United boss after his men came from 2-1 down to beat Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Europa League.

The Portuguese will look for his first Premier League victory when United welcome North West rivals Everton to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

Against the Toffees, Danish striker Hojlund will be hoping he can continue his recent fine form after scoring twice against Bodo/Glimt.

Ahead of the match on Sunday afternoon, Everton star Jesper Lindstrom has revealed his conversation with Hojlund, stating that the United striker has jokingly sent him a warning.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Lindstrom said: “I texted him after the game to congratulate him on his two goals but told him not to score this weekend.

“His reply was to tell me he would do his best to score goals.”

Lindstrom then spoke about the struggles Hojlund faced early on in his career before moving to Italy and making a name for himself.

The Everton loanee added: “I knew him from when he was about 10 years old. He didn’t seem much when he was young. His Danish team didn’t believe in him and that’s why he left for a club in Austria where he smashed it and then he went to Italy and smashed it there.

“There is a good reason why Rasmus is in Manchester – he’s a good player. He has qualities – like you saw on Thursday with some good finishes.”

After initially struggling to adapt to English football, Lindstrom has vowed to get better as he gets more minutes on the pitch.

He said: “As the games go on and with the more game-time I get, the more rhythm I will have – I don’t get cramp 60 minutes anymore, so I feel like I’m getting the rhythm again and I just need the last moment.

“I will do everything I can for them to buy me because I like it here. I like the training, I like the privacy, I like the life here. So hopefully they will buy me, but I have to show them that I’m good enough for them.”
