Doucoure has been an excellent servant to Everton over the years with the midfielder popping up with some pivotal goals.
The one that stands out above all the rest is his winning goal against Bournemouth at the end of the 22/23 season to keep the Toffees in the Premier League.
It’s been an excellent five seasons on Merseyside, but Everton decided not to renew Doucoure’s contract.
This has left the 32-year-old’s future in serious doubt and now Doucoure has finally spoken out and revealed all about his future with the club.
Abdoulaye Doucoure breaks silence on his Everton future
His tenure with the club isn’t at an end just yet as Doucoure could still remain at Everton, leaving fans very confused as to where he’ll be come the summer.
You can tell whatever happens the respect between the player and the club will remain intact.
The Mali international hasn’t performed to the best of his ability since David Moyes took over, but the Scotsman clearly trusts Doucoure having missed just two games since Moyes’ return.
Well with questions surrounding his future with the Toffees, Doucoure has now made his feelings clear in a public interview.
Speaking to The Times, Doucoure made his status clear and didn’t shy away from letting fans know his stance with the club.
“It’s a difficult situation, to be honest,” Doucoure said.
“I never lie when I talk about my future. Obviously, I’ve had a great time here.
“I don’t know what’s going to come next. I’m a free agent now so I have some possibilities. I will always cherish my time here and I will be very happy for what I did for Everton.
“Even if I leave, inside my heart I will always be a blue. For the moment nothing has been discussed so let’s see what’s going to happen in the next couple of months.
“But it may be my last season here, so I want to enjoy it as much as I can and do the best I can.”

Doucoure has a clear disadvantage with contract talks at Everton
It’s been clear from the start of the season that Doucoure’s future was always going to be considered.
Despite a minimal chance of him staying the consensus is that Doucoure won’t sign a new Everton contract, and it’s easy to understand why.
Being 32 now, Moyes may seek a younger approach in his squad, but this isn’t even the key reason.
With his age taken into account, Doucoure earns a whopping £130,000 per week, making him the highest earner at Everton.
This sends alarm bells to The Friedkins as having a player of his age on these wages just isn’t sustainable.
It’s been a rollercoaster of a journey for Doucoure, but it seems like his time at Everton is up.
