Alexander Isak tells Newcastle United fans one change he’s going to make to his game after Sweden discovery

Newcastle United superstar Alexander Isak was irresistible in a Sweden shirt on Tuesday night.

The 25-year-old Newcastle United player scored and got an assist as Sweden beat Northern Ireland 5-1 to bounce back from their embarrassing defeat to Luxembourg.
After that game, the Swedish media said Isak needed to do more.

Newcastle United’s most expensive signing ever did exactly that, showcasing why he really is a world class talent with his two goal contributions. It is fair to say that the Swedish media were impressed with Isak on this occasion.

Isak helped Sweden open the scoring against Northern Ireland, providing the assist for Emil Holm in the seventh minute. He dribbled past three players before playing the perfect pass to his teammate.

The forward then got a goal of his own, netting Sweden’s fourth of the night.

In the 64th minute, Isak picked up possession outside the box. After taking just two touches, he powered a stunning effort from distance beyond Pierce Charles.
It was an incredible strike, and Isak has told Fotbollskanalen that he is going to start shooting from distance more often.

“I’ve had a few of those this season,” he said.
“I feel like I need to do it more often – just hit it. I have a good finish and need to use it more. It’s great that it went in.”

Isak was also asked to give his verdict on his outstanding assist.

He said: “Great. Fun for him [Holm], of course. I often feel like I miss out on a lot of assists. It’s great that he scores on it.”

Isak scored a similar goal for Newcastle United this season

Isak highlighted his incredible dribbling ability with his assist on Tuesday night.
It was a sensational bit of play, but not quite as impressive as that dribble he produced against Everton in the 2022/23 season. That resulted in Jacob Murphy scoring, but it did not go down as an official assist for Isak.

As for the Swedish striker’s goal against Northern Ireland, it was very reminiscent of one he scored earlier this season.
