Grealish Surprised Response! Marcus Rashford Set for a Potential Permanent Villa Move

Marcus Rashford shared a determined message as Aston Villa gear up for a crucial FA Cup showdown.

Aston Villa are in the hunt for silverware this season and will take on Preston North End in the FA Cup quarter-finals on 30 March.
Since arriving on loan from Manchester United, Rashford has already made a significant impact, forming a strong partnership with fellow loanee Marco Asensio.

Aston Villa fans have already urged the club to sign Rashford and Asensio on permanent deals following their influential performances.
However, Rashford’s return to England duty was met with criticism from fans unimpressed by his performances for the national team.

But at club level, it’s been a different story. The winger looks sharp, motivated, and ready to pick up where he left off as Villa push for silverware.

Aston Villa handed boost in Marcus Rashford pursuit amid Barcelona interest

The 27-year-old shared an Instagram update featuring a gym session and training pictures, captioned: “The extra 1%.”
His post attracted plenty of reactions, with the likes of Declan Rice, Amadou Onana, and Jack Grealish showing their support.
He has previously demonstrated this sort of commitment, as Rashford trained alone at Aston Villa on a scheduled day off last month.

That work ethic hasn’t gone unnoticed, with Aston Villa eager to sign Rashford on a permanent deal following his loan.

Competition for his signature has come from European giants such as Barcelona and Bayern Munich. However, Villa may have received a major boost, as reports suggest Barcelona are prioritising a move for Luis Diaz, potentially clearing the way for Rashford to take up the left-wing role at Villa Park.
Despite being active on social media, Grealish and Rashford have endured contrasting seasons.

The Manchester City winger was left out of Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad, and his campaign at the Etihad has been plagued by inconsistency and limited opportunities.

Football Insider revealed that Man City are open to selling Grealish this summer, as he is no longer considered an essential part of Pep Guardiola’s plans.

The England international has made just six Premier League starts this season, and with his future uncertain, it remains to be seen whether he, like Rashford, will seek a fresh start elsewhere.
