Callum Wilson left the field in tears after Newcastle United qualified for the Champions League in what looks like the striker’s last game for the Magpies. Wilson was ordered back around the pitch for a separate lap of appreciation by Jason Tindall.

And the emotions were running high as the former Bournemouth striker made what looked like his farewell appearance for the Magpies. Wilson’s contract ends on June 30 with the striker linked with Leeds United in recent days.

CEO Darren Eales made his way down to the pitch to hug the ex-Coventry City star, who was applauded off the field by fans after the 1-0 defeat to Everton. Wilson was serenaded by Newcastle fans, who got the feeling this was goodbye.
