Everton are really active in the summer transfer market.
The Toffees are about to sign Kenny Tete, who follows Carlos Alcaraz as the second signing of the window.
Tete actually snubbed a new deal at Fulham to sign for the Toffees, so it’s clear the club is headed in the right direction.
Now, attention is turning towards the midfield, with David Moyes keen to add more goals in the middle of the park.
With that said, one of his targets is now trying to push through a move after talks with Everton.
Everton target Fred is insisting on leaving Fenerbahce
Everton have been in talks with Fred after his really impressive season in the Turkish Super Lig with Fenerbahce.
The 32-cap Brazil international netted five times whilst laying on eight assists for Jose Mourinho’s side, which includes his first ever career hat-trick.
So clearly, he’s massively improved the attacking part of his game since leaving Manchester United in 2023.
Now, according to Fanatik, Fred is really pushing to leave Fenerbahce, with Moyes desperate to land his signature.
The Turkish giants want offers of around £17m for the 32-year-old, but Mourinho has other ideas
Mourinho won’t ‘give up’ on Fred
The Turkish outlet further reports that Mourinho won’t ‘give up’ on Fred very easily, and will try to retain his signature.
That could make things difficult for Everton, who surely won’t be willing to table a sizable offer for a player in his 30s.
So, with the Brazilian under contract for another two years and his manager desperate to fend off interest, it doesn’t seem like the easiest deal to.
Everton fans aren’t convinced by Fred, with many very underwhelmed by the thought of bringing him back to the Premier League.
