Nottingham Forest have made an official opening bid for Bologna winger Dan Ndoye as they look to beat Napoli and Crystal Palace to his signature.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Ndoye has already given the green light on a move to the City Ground and the club’s project. The Swiss attacker has attracted interest from other clubs but the Tricky Trees are in pole position to win the race.
The 24-year-old was in fine form last season, bagging nine goals and six assists in 41 games across competitions. He played on either wing for the Italian outfit and is eyed as a replacement for Anthony Elanga following his move to Newcastle United.

Ndoye has developed into one of Serie A’s most highly regarded wide men, thanks to his pace and dribbling abilities, and was also a standout performer for Switzerland at Euro 2024. He has also displayed confidence in big-game situations, scoring the match-winning goal in a 1-0 win over AC Milan in the Coppa Italia final last season.
Romano gave an update on Forest’s pursuit of the Nyon-born winger and confirmed the Premier League club had lodged a bid. He wrote on X:
“Nottingham Forest submit first official bid to Bologna for Dan Ndoye as main target at winger position. Ndoye already said yes to Forest’s project and talks club to club will now start with more sides still keen including Napoli and Crystal Palace. Forest, now pushing.”
Forest has already begun building on its European qualification by signing two Brazilians from the South American region. Highly coveted centre-forward Igor Jesus and young centre-back Jair Cunha arrived from Bologna for a total of £26.8m.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men were the Premier League’s surprise package last season, spending most of the campaign battling for a top five finish and Champions League qualification. They finished seventh, still booking themselves Europa Conference League football.
The Tricky Trees’ impressive showings have led to several of their players being targeted and they lost Elanga to Newcastle earlier this month. The Swedish winger headed to St James’ Park in a £52m, forcing the club to go into the market for a new winger.
