Tottenham fans demand player is sold this summer after shocking performance against Manchester city

Tottenham Fans Demand Player Is Sold This Summer Despite Victory Over Manchester City

Tottenham Hotspur fans are calling for the sale of midfielder Yves Bissouma this summer, even after the team’s 2-0 victory against Manchester City in a pre-season friendly during their American tour. Despite the win, Bissouma’s underwhelming performance drew heavy criticism from supporters, who took to social media to brand his display as “shocking” and demand his departure before the transfer window closes.

Bissouma, signed from Brighton for £25 million in 2022, has struggled to consistently deliver at Spurs. In the match against City, he was criticized for sloppy passing, failing to control the midfield, and lacking energy, with a notable error in the first half where his misplaced pass nearly cost Spurs a goal. Fans on X were vocal, with one writing, “Bissouma was dreadful despite the win—time to sell!” Another posted, “He’s holding us back. Get rid before the season starts.”

The 28-year-old’s inconsistent form has been a persistent issue, and even with Tottenham’s goals from James Maddison and Pedro Porro securing the win, Bissouma’s display reignited calls for a squad overhaul under manager Thomas Frank, who replaced Ange Postecoglou earlier this year. Supporters are urging chairman Daniel Levy to offload the midfielder while his market value holds, with potential moves to France or a mid-table Premier League club rumored.

Tottenham’s transfer window has been active, with links to Manchester City’s Savinho and Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers to strengthen the attack. However, fans insist that moving on underperforming players like Bissouma is crucial for a squad aiming to compete for silverware. With the Premier League season approaching, pressure is mounting on Levy to act swiftly.

Some fans defend Bissouma, pointing to his occasional brilliance in breaking up play and driving forward, but the majority view his latest performance as evidence that his time at Spurs may be nearing its end. As Tottenham build momentum from their win over City, the focus remains on Bissouma, with supporters hoping for either a significant improvement or a transfer out of the club.
