Sean Dyche to Unleash ‘skilful’ Everton academy talent who is termed as the next wayne rooney……….

Sean Dyche could soon unleash ‘skilful’ Everton academy talent alongside Tim Iroegbunam.

Everton’s academy is one of the most famed in England, although of late it has been misfiring somewhat.

Naturally, the outstanding struggles of the club have not aided it in its ability to produce the next great Merseyside talent, although there have been a few success stories to write about.

Anthony Gordon, Ellis Simms, Tom Cannon and Ishe Samuels-Smith, whilst all have now left, did command solid fees to help the Toffees out of a tough time.

Things are now looking up rather dramatically, at last, and it seems that those now seeking to make the step into senior football will be given a far more stable foundation to do so with Sean Dyche in charge and the finances somewhat sorted.

Everton academy shines for the first-team

This was certainly present in last week’s pre-season friendly defeat to Salford City, where there was a whole host of youngsters included within the squad.

And, despite starting strongly, the second half saw an academy overhaul, with new Everton signing Tim Iroegbunam one such young star introduced.

As the outstanding name amongst all these lesser-known youngsters, given he joined for a £9m fee from Aston Villa this summer, there is much excitement about the 21-year-old, who joins with good reviews.

However, whilst he might have most fans thrilled for the imminent, future, it was Harrison Armstrong, the youngest name in the entire squad, who should also be outlined as someone who could one day star alongside him in the midfield.

Who is Everton starlet Harrison Armstrong?

Having joined the club at the age of just five, Armstrong is a name that might not be familiar to most Evertonians.

Although, in the last few months, he has started to showcase why more and more people have and will start to learn it.

After all, at just 17 years old, this technically proficient yet energetic midfielder boasts a bright future, and is spearheading the last crop of academy prospects hoping to one day make their mark on the first team.

Having seen stars like Lewis Warrington and Ryan Astley fail to make the grade, this should act as inspiration, to know that to stand a chance they will need to be better than those who came before them.

Fortunately, Armstrong in particular already has glowing reviews, with journalist Paddy Boyland even describing him as ‘a languid, skilful midfielder’ in one article for The Athletic.

Alongside the physically imposing yet equally classy Iroegbunam, and with other stars like James Garner to throw into the mix, this youthful core could uphold Everton’s midfield for the next decade.
