“Newcastle’s £40m Brazilian Striker Pursuit Hits Roadblock: Expert Warns of ‘Very Important’ Consequences!”

Newcastle United may have dodged a bullet by not facing Dominic Solanke when they travel to AFC Bournemouth this weekend. However, Cherries boss Andoni Iraola is confident that his replacement, Evanilson, will be ready to take on the Magpies. Solanke had a memorable season against Newcastle, scoring three goals, including a brace in Bournemouth’s 2-0 win in November 2023.

Solanke’s departure to Tottenham left Bournemouth without a recognized No. 9, but they quickly found an alternative in Evanilson. The Cherries paid an initial £31.7m to FC Porto for the Brazilian striker, with the deal potentially rising to £40m. Although Evanilson missed Bournemouth’s opening-day 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest, Iraola expects him to be involved when Newcastle visits the Vitality Stadium on Sunday.

Iraola felt his side lacked a goal threat at the City Ground, but he’s confident that Evanilson’s presence will change that when they host United for their first home game of the new Premier League campaign. The Spaniard is eager to see his new striker in action, and Newcastle United will need to be prepared to face the threat of Evanilson.
