Newcastle United fans were furious with Kieran Trippier’s defending which led to Josko Gvardiol’s goal against Man City.
The Magpies drew 1-1 against the defending Premier League champions at St. James’ Park, marking the second game in a row that the visitors have dropped points.
Gvardiol’s goal opened up the scoring in the game, but Newcastle were able to respond in the second half through an Anthony Gordon penalty.
Gvardiol was assisted by Jack Grealish, who had skipped past Trippier to advance up the pitch and eventually play the crucial pass.
Newcastle’s right-back rushed out to close down his former England teammate and slid in to try and win the ball.
However, the Man City winger easily avoided the tackle which gave him plenty of space to progress up the pitch and ultimately set up the goal.
It led to Newcastle fans being furious with the experienced defender for his role in the goal.
