Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski was in action for Sweden in the UEFA Nations League on Friday night.

The Spurs winger produced an impressive performance as Sweden drew 2-2 with Slovakia at Stadion Tehelne Pole.

The versatile attacking midfielder has evolved as a key player under Ange Postecoglou, and he has continued his impressive form for his country.

Kulusevki has managed only one goal and an assist in six Premier League starts, and Postecoglou will demand a better output from him, even though his overall performances have been brilliant in most games.

While he didn’t get a goal or assist against Slovakia, he was a constant threat from the right-hand side.

According to the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter, Kulusevski is in the “form of his life” at the moment.

Dejan Kulusevski was superb against Slovakia

Sweden will be really disappointed with that result. They were leading comfortably 2-0 but conceded just before the break. In the second half, the momentum shifted towards the home side, and Slovakia scored again to make it 2-2.

However, Spurs fans will love how Kulusevski played throughout the game. In the 16th minute, he drifted into the centre and had a left-footed shot blocked in the box.

He nearly got an assist after he floated a ball for Viktor Gyokeres in the box, but the Sporting striker could not direct his header on target. Moments later, Kulusevski registered another effort on target, this time from the right-hand side, but he couldn’t find the net.

In the 25th minute, Kulusevski had another shot blocked in the box. He nearly got a goal just after Sweden went 2-0 up, and had that gone in, Slovakia would have really struggled to muster a strong comeback. But his left-footed shot from outside the box was blocked once again.

In total, he attempted seven shots and managed to keep two on target, as per whoscored.com.  The Spurs winger also registered three key passes and made three successful dribbles.
