Sean Dyche makes honest admission on his Everton future amid Dan Friedkin’s takeover

Everton are making their return to Premier League football on Saturday following the international break as they travel down to Ipswich Town.

It is a game which will provide the Toffees with a huge opportunity to continue their improved form prior to the international window.

Sean Dyche‘s side have been able to drag themselves out of the bottom three but it remains so tight at the bottom.

A win for Everton could well take them level on points with Manchester United this weekend but there remains a much bigger issue away from the pitch for the Blues.

The Friedkin Group are closing in on a potential takeover at Everton with the American billionaire’s push to secure the club going well.

What Sean Dyche said about Everton’s proposed takeover

After well over a year of trying, it finally looks as if Everton are going to secure themselves new ownership with The Friedkin Group advancing.

Numerous parties have come and gone with the likes of John Textor showing a real interest in taking over at Everton.

But it is the current AS Roma ownership group which looks set to collect the keys for Goodison Park.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the game on the weekend, Dyche admitted he is yet to speak to the potential new owners.

“I’m not too worried about my part of it, that’s fine. I signed a good contract here in good faith, to try and deliver what I could there was a really obvious remit, was to make sure the club’s in the Premier League,” said Dyche.

“Regarding the idea of the new owners; well, I’m sure, in due course, when the time comes, when they feel the time comes, and it’s appropriate, they’ll be reaching out, when they do.”

The Friedkin Group will have Sean Dyche decision

It has been a difficult start to the season for Everton, on the whole, with the Blues having only just started to pick up some results.

The game against Ipswich will be a big indicator as to whether Everton have turned a page with a win on Saturday surely providing their fans some optimism.

But the Toffees do not want to fall back into their struggles with a defeat against the side who are sitting just one place and one point behind them going into the weekend.

And if results are not to continue in a positive manner, then The Friedkin Group could be left with a huge decision to make on Dyche’s future if they are to land on Merseyside.
