Roy Keane says West Ham United will beat Everton after what David Moyes said

Roy Keane believes West Ham will beat Everton after David Moyes suggested that Sean Dyche’s side are hard to beat.

The Hammers are preparing for the visit of the Toffees to the London Stadium on Saturday 9 November in a crunch match for Julen Lopetegui.

Keane has now offered his prediction for the clash, while speaking on The Overlap (7 September), based on what the former Irons’ boss has said.

Discussing his old side, Moyes said: “Everton aren’t easy to beat, I know they lost 1-0 to Southampton but they’re normally really hard to play against.”

The ex-Manchester United captain replied with a tongue and cheek response, saying: “So that means West Ham all day.”

This clash in East London could prove to be the final straw for Lopetegui who is under serious pressure as Hammers boss.

Off the back of a 3-0 defeat away to Nottingham Forest (2 November), there is plenty of discontent among the Irons’ supporter base.

With the Toffees travelling to the London Stadium, the Spaniard will be keen to set his side up to take all three points against a stubborn Dyche side.

The Englishman typically lines up with a solid backline and midfield which has conceded more than one goal on just four occasions this season.

Given that West Ham have conceded eight goals in their last three games, while only scoring three, it is safe to say they need to be positive going forward if they want to win as the back line can not always be relied on.

This could prove to be difficult against Everton who will be keen to keep a clean sheet away from him and potentially snatch one or even three points.
