The Friedkin Group parted ways with Sean Dyche in January with the Toffees struggling at the wrong end of the table.
Dyche told the Friedkins he couldn’t take Everton any further with the current group of players he had at his disposal.
Although Everton only brought in one new face over the January transfer window, Moyes has made a complete mockery Dyche’s comments.
Appointing Moyes as Dyche’s replacement proved to be a controversial decision for some in the media.
And there are some pundits who have been proven extremely wrong in their comments on the Friedkins bringing the 61-year-old back to Merseyside.

David Moyes has proven Paul Merson wrong
Paul Merson questioned Moyes’ appointment suggesting Everton were hiring a manager who would offer something too similar to what Dyche offered.
The Sky Sports pundit has been very vocal about the decision to bring Moyes back and perhaps he will be regretting some of the things he had to say.
“I like David Moyes, don’t get me wrong, but people have got to remember it was 11 years ago,” said Merson.
“I would have gone and got – looking at the all-round picture for the future – Lee Carsley. I would have went and seen if Lee Carsley was prepared to come and manage Everton.”
Everton could leapfrog Crystal Palace this weekend with a victory which could potentially see them pull 13 points clear of the drop zone.
With three wins and a draw in the last four games, perhaps Moyes may like to reconsider his comments.

Troy Deeney labelled Moyes hire as ‘mental’
Jake O’Brien has hailed Moyes since he made the move back to Merseyside with the 61-year-old kickstarting Everton’s season in January.
The 61-year-old has already equalled Dyche’s win record in the Premier League this season.
But Troy Deeney was just another pundit who believed moving from Dyche to Moyes was just another sideways move for Everton.
“I don’t want to sound disrespectful because he’s a great manager, David Moyes, and he had a great time there and at West Ham,” said Deeney on TalkSPORT.
“But I just think you’re changing like-for-like.”
“I thought the two-and-a-half years [contract] was mental, I thought that was crazy.
“I understood the ‘six months to the end of the season and let’s revisit’, totally understood that – you’ve got 13 players out of contract in the summer.
Theo Walcott urged Everton to hire Graham Potter over Moyes
Everton showed an interest in Graham Potter, but the 49-year-old ended up joining West Ham United in the days leading to Moyes’ appointment.
However, Theo Walcott thought Potter was the man who the Toffees should have brought to Goodison Park.
“I like Moyes as manager, I feel Graham Potter might have been the shout before West Ham got in there,” Walcott said.

“They could play a different style of football, I felt Potter would’ve been a good match.
“I feel Potter would’ve been a more forward-thinking, younger generational manager, that can really attract players coming through.”
Jamie Carragher thought Potter was not a good fit for Everton and is one of the few to be proven right in his predictions on the situation on Merseyside.
