The former Everton forward left the field in a neck brace on a stretcher after collapsing on the pitch.
There were major concerns for the health of former Everton striker Moise Kean on Sunday afternoon. The Italian was stretchered off the field and taken to hospital after collapsing on the pitch for Fiorentina.
Kean was involved in a nasty clash during his side’s meeting with Hellas Verona, as an opposition player inadvertently kneed him in the head. He later returned to the field with a bandaged head after the collision left a cut above his eye.
However, shortly after his return Kean was seen collapsing to the ground off the ball, sparking a concerned reaction from his team-mates, opponents and medical staff.

The 24-year-old was then stretchered off the field in a neck brace and according to reports in Italy he has been taken to hospital. Per EFE Deportes, Kean was conscious as he left the field.
Kean scored just four goals in 39 appearances for Everton after signing in 2019. After spells at Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, he has finally found his best form again with Fiorentina, netting 16 Serie A goals this term.
Fiorentina lost the game 1-0 on Sunday. Their manager Raffaele Palladino is expected to provide an update on Kean’s condition soon.
The club put out a statement on Saturday afternoon confirming that the striker was undergoing tests in hospital.
It read: “Fiorentina announces that the footballer Moise Kean, during the match against Verona, suffered a head trauma. The footballer is in hospital for tests.”
