Beto names the two Everton players who have already told him they’re going to cry in final Goodison Park game

Everton will move to their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock later this year – and while it’s a hugely exciting time, there is sadness for many about leaving Goodison Park.

Everton are hopeful of an exciting new dawn, with The Friedkin Group having acquired the club just before Christmas.
There were years of struggle under Farhad Moshiri, and it was a major relief for many when he sold up.

The future is potentially very bright under TFG, and fans cannot wait to get into Bramley-Moore Dock.

Alan Shearer called Everton’s new stadium ‘gorgeous’, with Gary Lineker also extremely impressed.
Shearer and LIjneker were full of praise for Goodison Park, although Shearer does believe its age is why many Everton fans can’t wait for the move to BMD.

But there will undoubtedly be lots of emotions when Everton take on Southampton in the final game at Goodison on May 18 – and striker Beto has claimed two of his teammates have already told him they will cry.
It will be sorely missed by Evertonians of course, but it will likely also be missed by neutrals in the wider football community too.

That game against Southampton is going to be charged with emotion and hopefully Everton can win against the Saints to sign off in the best possible way.

Striker Beto has sat down with the club to conduct a new interview, and has been speaking about the club’s move to a new stadium, amongst other things.
He isn’t really thinking too far ahead, given Everton are not yet mathematically safe from relegation.

But he has shared the identity of two teammates who have told him they’ll be blubbing like a lot of supporters in the final outing at Goodison in May.
He said: “I know the last game will be something amazing because it will be a mix of emotions and even my teammates who have been here a long time, I asked them, ‘You guys… Seamus, Gana – you guys are going to cry?’, and Seamus said, ‘Me? For sure’, and Gana said, ‘I don’t know how I will feel but probably yes, I will cry’, so it will be a mix of emotions and we just want to give them this joy in the last season in Goodison.
