It’s not long until Leeds United make their return to the Premier League with the new season fast approaching.

In preparation for the 2025/2026 campaign, the Whites have been quite busy in the transfer window. Leeds have completed the signings of Anton Stach, Jaka Bijol, Sean Longstaff, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Lukas Nmecha so far this summer.

But it seems that the business is not done yet. There is expected to be movement both in and out of Elland Road between now and the September 1 deadline.

Leeds Live says: Getting a deal for a goalkeeper done and dusted before the start of the new campaign is a big bonus for Leeds, with it being an area that they wanted to strengthen. Presuming the deal is completed, as expected, it gives the new man some time to adapt to his new surroundings – as well as getting to know his new teammates before the season opener against Everton in just over three weeks’ time.

Exit decision update

There has been reports over the futures of both Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph with the both players linked with exits this summer. Joseph has been left out of the travelling squad for pre-season, after expressing his desire to leave the club. TEAMTalk report that the Whites would prefer his exit to come as a straight loan instead of a sale.

Real Betis are the team showing the biggest interest and it is said that the Spanish club would prefer to sign him on loan with the option to buy included. It is also added that Leeds would want a minimum of £12 million if they were to sell him permanently this summer.

Leeds Live says: A loan deal could be the best solution to the situation for Leeds. That way, the player gets to leave in search for more regular game-time, but the Whites have the option to bring him back next season, especially if he impresses. Cashing-in would, however, hand the Whites a financial boost in what is a big transfer window ahead of the Premier League season.
