Manchester United are still aiming to squeeze a deal over the line for Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens, according to Sky Sports – with the Red Devils having submitted a deal sheet for the young goalkeeper to join them in the final hours of the transfer window.
United target Lammens flew to Manchester earlier on Monday in the hope of formalising a move to Old Trafford, where he has since undergone medical tests, agreeing personal terms with the club after some poor form from current goalkeeping duo Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir.

And, having gone past the 7pm deadline, Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth has stated that a deal sheet has been submitted, with the club needing extra time to complete the paperwork so that the Belgian can ply his trade under Ruben Amorim this season. Sheth said, live on Sky Sports News:
“Just a line on Senne Lammens, I’ve just been told now that is subject of a deal sheet. So Manchester United did put a deal sheet in between 5pm and 7pm, so they got most of that deal done – they just needed that extra time to negotiate.
“He flew to Manchester earlier today after a deal worth €21million (£18.1million) plus add-ons was agreed.
“He’s agreed a five-year contract, he’s been having a medical. Manchester United, you talk about Emiliano Martinez, they considered a number of options, and he was the notable one.”
Lammens has only come to the fore in Belgium’s top-flight over the past two seasons, but his promise and youth coupled with the experience he’s garnered means that he could be a real asset for United in the future.
